Educational Background

University of Oregon (2013 - 2017)

  • Bachelor's of Science in Geography and Environmental Sciences (double major)

  • Honors in both majors, with completion of scientific written thesis, oral presentation, and poster investigating changes in stony coral morphology area coverage through large-scale imagery, spatial analysis with QGIS, and percent area cover statistical analysis

  • Recipient of honorable mention and cash prize for Bill Loy's Excellence in Cartography competition

  • Presented at professional conferences for varying research projects: Society of Ecological Restoration (April 2016), Undergraduate Research Symposium (June 2016 and 2017), and Joint Campus Conference (June 2017).

  • Studied abroad in Bonaire, Netherland Antilles, learning species identification (fish, invertebrates, corals, etc.), underwater field data collection methods under the AGGRA protocols, and collection of photomosaic imagery for percent area cover analysis both on site and later for undergraduate honors thesis.
